We run a horse barn
Our perspective starts in the barn—with boarding, lessons, training, services, horses, clients, staff, and the daily changes that never fit neatly into a spreadsheet.
Horse people building for horse people
We are horse lovers and barn operators. TackDesk grew out of the work we do every day: boarding horses, teaching lessons, coordinating training and services, sending invoices, and trying to keep every detail connected.
Our perspective starts in the barn—with boarding, lessons, training, services, horses, clients, staff, and the daily changes that never fit neatly into a spreadsheet.
Decades spent building billing and business software across a wide range of industries taught us that balances, payments, credits, refunds, and recurring charges need a reliable history—not another manual workaround.
TackDesk connects barn operations to the client account so the office can answer what happened, what is due, and what comes next from one shared story.
Why TackDesk exists
Running a horse business means the work rarely stays in one lane. A boarding change affects billing. A lesson package affects the schedule. A training ride needs to reach the right client account. Health records, agreements, payments, and conversations all need to follow the same horse and person.
We had built billing systems for years, but the tools available to our own barn still left too much work spread across spreadsheets, calendars, messages, and disconnected software. We wanted a system that respected both sides of the problem: the realities of barn work and the precision required to get billing right.
That is why we built TackDesk—one place for the barn to manage the work, understand what happened, and keep the business moving without losing the horse-and-human context behind every charge.
We are building the software we wanted beside us at the barn: practical enough for a busy aisle, dependable enough for billing day, and clear enough that clients can understand their accounts.
